We have a 60 ' well, and when it rains really hard, the water gets cloudy. I installed a sediment filter, that helped. Now I am installing a whole house filter. This has really helped. The water is very clear and there is no odor. The water tests good without the filters, but with them, it now looks good, rain or shine. 
The homestead is always a work in progress.
